What is the best way to clean your windcows?

What is the best way to clean your windows? Some people say paper towels, some will argue newspaper.

You should choose a dry, cloudy day to clean your windows. I know what you are thinking, however, a dry cloudy day, the sun will not dry up your spray before you get a chance to wipe it down.

The first thing you need to (after having gotten your supplies together) is to dust the window and sill around it. You can use a lint free cloth or a vacuum. Not doing this results in a big muddy mess. Don’t forget to take the screen out and give it a good soak. You could use a bathtub or a utility tub (provided it will fit of course). Once it has soaked for a bit give it a good scrub with a soft brush, rinse and let it dry.

There are, of course, many options of cleanser to choose from. All having pros and cons to them. Whichever you use, be sure it is in a spray bottle. If you prefer a natural cleanser, you could use one part vinegar to ten parts water. Give it a good shake and spray away.

Using a microfiber cloth, dry your panes or if you are using paper towels, be sure they are lint free, That’s an entirely different mess.

You really only need to clean your windows once or twice a year. To make the task less daunting, you could break it up and take it one room at a time. Another trick is to wipe one side horizontally and the other vertically that way if it DOES streak, you will know what side it’s on.

That’s all there is to it. Happy Cleaning!
